Mesa Community Farmer’s Market

by bficker on June 12, 2009

I spent some time this morning at the Mesa Community Farmer’s Market. It was a pretty good experience, though a little smaller then I was hoping. I come from Portland, OR where the farmer’s market are quite large. I guess the trade off is that we can do the farmer’s market year-round up here.

I met Shirley, who run’s Lil’ Sassy Salsa, and got to ask her a few questions about the market (You can check out the video in the top right corner of this page). Brandon, one of her newer employee’s sold me on the Pineapple Margarita Salsa it told me it would taste great on the tamales from the Tamale Store. With their booth conveniently located next door I snagged a couple of Chicken and Green Chile tamales and they were fantastic.

The Mesa Community Farmer’s Market runs year round from 9am to Noon every Friday, except holidays. They are located just south of University on N. Center St.
